We recently started our journey, driven by a deep love for the rich and diverse culinary traditions of South Africa. My name is Chuanne, and I am the heart and soul behind Heat2eat. With over 30 years of experience in preparing well-loved South African meals, I have always found joy in bringing people together through food. My journey began in my grandmother’s kitchen, where the fragrant aromas of Bobotie, Vetkoek, and Milk tart filled the air. Those early experiences ignited a lifelong passion for cooking. Over the years, I honed my skills, learning the nuances of traditional recipes and the secrets to creating dishes that warm the heart and soul. Life, however, has its way of presenting unexpected challenges. A while back, both my husband, Francois, and I found ourselves without work due to economic hardships and job losses. Faced with this daunting reality, we saw an opportunity to turn our passion into a livelihood. It was a leap of faith, but one fueled by our love for food and a desire to share that love with others. With Francois by my side, we decided to start Heat2eat. Our mission was simple: to bring the authentic taste of South African home-cooked meals to your table. Every dish we create is a labor of love, prepared with the same care and attention that we would for our own family. We believe that food is more than just sustenance; it is a way to connect with others, to celebrate culture, and to create lasting memories.
